Hi Everyone,

My name is Chuck Centore and I like to drive British cars. I live in the
suburbs of Boston and smooth roads are generally non existant. Since I like
to drive as often as I can, I would like to make this event as enjoyable as
possible. I am currently contemplating suspension changes to my 3A and would
like to enlist some of that expertise that I'm sure is out there.

I replaced the front suspension bushings and springs about two years ago. I
also replaced the shocks but went with the "Vanilla" types to keep things
original. Maybe that's the original ride I 'm getting but I think things
could be better. I am not happy with the ride especially when I push things a
bit. The wheels don't seem to stay on the ground during hard corning on rough
roads. I am have been considering either Koni or Spax shocks as a
replacement. Does anyone think this will help or should I look further. Are
stabilization bars of any help here?

I also have some concerns about the cars stability at highway speeds. I have
165R15 tires on new wires. I replaced the lever shocks but not the springs.
Will replacing them with the standard or heavy duty types do me any good?
Will they help cure that "loose feeling" I get when again encountering rough
roads at speed?

Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Chuck
