TR3s ride like an oxcart, which is fine on a smooth road but
tough on rough (Boston) roads. 8^)
Heaviers springs and heavier shocks only make things more so.
The same is true of sway bars.The one modification I can think of the
might help would be "traction masters" to minimize rear spring windup
and rear wheel hop.
Aside from that I guess you have to try to drive around the potholes
(not easy in Boston) or wait to drive the car on smoother roads elsewhere.
I can't think of any 1950s Brit sports car that has the kind of compliant
suspension needed for pot holes.
Trying to miss the potholes in Boston might be good practice for missing
cones on an autox course. ;^)
I have TR3s both with and without beefed up suspensions. Without they
make your vision blur when you drive over a railroad crossing. With
they make your vision blur when you drive over a dime.

ps I also suggest you carefully inspect your rear springs for broken leaves.
TR3s and TR4s are prone to broken rear leaves when driven hard on very
rough roads.
