I just got the latest issue of Classic Auto Restorer. This is the October
1994 issue, has a red T-bird on the cover, and the new logo. Anyway, the
interesting and SOL related item is the article on the "La Carrera Classic"
road race in Mexico. The article is really about this lovely blue Allard K2
that entered the race, but on page 46 it looks like Darren Stone's bugeye
"Redcar" is the sprite described as "A Bugeye Sprite makes its way back to
Ensenada after turnaround at Valle de la Trinidad."

For those of you without the magazine, and for Darren to confirm his world
wide fame, the picture is a rear shot of a Sprite entering a "S" curve.
The Bugeye is red with twin "cobraesque" white racing stripes, has Mini Mania
sticers over the left rear wheel, crossed union jack and mexican flags on the
rear deck, license plate with number 59 for the race, and a driver of about
Darren's height wearing a red helmet.

So Darren, is that you and Redcar? I'll scan the image in on monday
perhaps...

There's also a neet shot of the K2 starting a leg in front of a red E-type,
a blue/white 365, a silver pre-74 911, something wiht big fenders, and a
silver/brg lotus 7. Maybe I'll scan that in too.....
