Re: Healey Valve Cover Colors
I'd be suspicious of different colored valve covers on big Healeys being
considered original. The engines were painted as a unit (including motor
mounts) so that if the valve cover was painted blue or red, the engine should
be too. I have seen original advertising literature which showed a Healey
with a red valve cover, but have not heard of anyone who thinks any cars
actually left the factory with a uniquely colored valve cover.
