If you have an interest in doing your own auto body work, fabricating
pieces from sheet metal, or just learning more about the subject, I
suspect you will find the following web site of interest. I stumbled
across it while searching for information on working aluminum.

  http://www.metalshapers.org/

This site is probably common knowledge to many of you, but since it's a
new find for me I'm guessing there are a few of you out there who are
not aware of it. It includes many many links to other related sites,
including some well known players in the custom and exotic auto body
fabrication scene, such as "Tin Man" Kent White and Ron Covell. In
fact, there is such a a huge amount of stuff there, I haven't had a
chance to go through a fraction of it yet.

There is one link listed on this site that really aroused my curiosity,
not so much because I'm necessarily interested in using its listed
services, but because it right here in the South SF Bay area and I was
completely unaware of it. It's called Lazze and Swede, The Swedes. The
web site address is www.larsab.se. Yeah I know, this site is in Sweden,
but their address is in Mountain View. Have any of you ever heard of
these guys or had any work done by them? There's an interesting picture
on their site of a 40's vintage Willys body fabricated from aluminum.
