Hey James,

I'd suggest you look to the many Three-Wheelers currently be built (or
kitted). Tony Divey's Tri King, for example, uses the front engine/rear
drive formula (the single driving wheel being in the rear) and has pretty
much perfected the layout. He currently uses Motto Guzzi engine of several
sizes including one of about 80 horses.  He has used both shaft and chain
drive.

For what its worth: the Tri-King is a dynamite ride!
