C/V joints

Recent mention of C/V joints makes me ask a question I've been pondering
for a while... I don't currently have an Elan, but I have a car that
shares many of its, um, interesting characteristics in the rear suspension -
a Triumph GT6+. In particular, it has Rotoflex joints to handle plunge
and windup in the rear halfshafts.

I'm really really tired of changing Rotoflex couplings. It's a huge
nuisance in the GT6+, because of the transverse leaf spring that must
be managed. I want them *gone*.

The "contemporary" racer's solution was to adapt 240Z half shafts;
usually the Z's diff was installed, too, since the GT6's pumpkin
was notoriously weak. Nowadays, it seems that some C/V joint solution
is more appropriate.

What do people use? Where do I start? I know nothing about CV joints... yet.
