They are "metric" 1/8" pipe thread.
Rob is correct.
They are 10 mm pipe thread.
Pipe threads are tapered threads. 10 mm and 1/8" pipe have almost the
same taper and threads per inch.
10 mm is a hair smaller, so 1/8 " will work fine if you clean the
threads with a pipe tap or if the threads have been worn.
These are tapered threads -> be careful not to over torque as things
usually crack - not strip.
BTW VDO should have the correct 10 mm adapter.
