Grant, I for 1 would LOVE this car! And there plenty more who would also. I
know that if you bought it, some one from the NWDE would come for it!

Is anyone on the Bluebirds List? They should forward this to that list.

I Alberta was closer to Los Angeles, I'd be driving this baby home right
now!

Hi All

The shop across the street has had an old Datsun parked beside it for years.
I never gave it to much attention, already have cars with metal roofs, I
like roadsters. But I was reading Alan Bent's Datsun page and saw that the
66 Bluebird SSS had the same mechanics as the 1600. Sooo....I walked over to
see and sure enough it is the 66 SSS. Talked to the guy, he wants to get rid
of it, told me to give him $75.00 (that's Canadian - so about $50.00 US) and
get it out of there. I've decided to buy it, he says it runs, but the carbs
need adjusting. The thing is, I know nothing about these cars, is it a bit
of a rare bird, should I keep it as is. The body and interior are in really
nice shape, glass, crome, lights etc. are all good. I just don't really want
the car, it does nothing for me. But if I break it apart I can get an
engine, carbs, distributer, alternator, etc. all for $75.00.

What should I do?
