Hello All,
As part of my rear end resto I installed the Fairlady rear suspension
bushing kit. Several people enquired about it so here is my take.
First my old bushings were definately oldlooking. Cracked and worn
and weathered looking on the out side. WHen I took everything apart the parts
of the original bushings that were not in contact with air looked surprizingly
good. First thing I noticed was that the new bushings did not seem
dramatically harder. Maybe they were a little bit harder but not by much.
Everything went back toghether fine and fit well. You have to have the old
front leaf spring bushings pressed out and the new one pressed in ~12 bucks
each.
Driving impressions... um.. I dont really notice a HUGE difference...
The add for them says 'get rid of that mushy feeling' I don't know if its less
mushy or not. I really can't tell a difference. Maybe if I REALLY pushed it
at
a race track I could tell...but YMMV
So in conclusion, a good replacement for the stock bits.. I don't know
if there is even another option..But I did not see a huge difference.
