Not sure about 14" wheels, but I run 15" wheels with 5" backspace for
autocross. No rubbing. Note, they are "spun" type which is considerably
thinner than cast. I suspect cast wheels with same backspace would rub the
upper control arm. I run 15" cast wheels with 4.25" backspace on the
street...also no rubbing, but it's close.
