Join the club! It looks like the lower arm (I think it's called the
Pittman
arm) needs to come off the bottom of the box. Dorky design, huh? Spent
about
20 minutes deciding that I could clean under and around the box as long
as
it was loose from the frame. Maybe next time I'm hankering to lie on the
garage floor...

BTW, if you're planning on pulling down the rest of the steering
assembly, I
highly recommend the ball joint separator by KD tools. Got mine at
Junior's
Tools in Santa Ana. Bought a cheap one last weekend and learned the true
meaning of pumping iron! The KD unit pops ball joints apart like they
weren't even stuck.
