The road from Julian to the bottom of the hill is six miles long, and is
supposed to be in the Guinness Book of World records as the "most turns per
mile" of any road (don't know if they are talkin USA, or the whole world).
I don't know if this is true, but all the locals used to claim it was so. I
used to live right off that road, (banner grade) and it is very curvy. In
that six miles, it goes from pine forest to desert. Julian is a really
neat town, and the wildflowers should be about to bloom in the desert, if
they haven't already

Anyway, just thought I would share.
