That ploate on thefront of the radiator may have the same purpose as
the one on my 67.5. Thre is an air scoop that mounts to the radiator,
loops up over the center steering link, and bolts to the body behind the
bumper. Many cars are missing thi part. If you live in warm areas it
is a part that is needed, but I am not sure how useful it is on colder
areas.
