I'm happy to report that Tetanus took on all comers and smoked them at the
drag strip tonight. I wasn't racing against the big block drag cars, just the
"import" guys. The honda boys were making fun of my spitfire until I ran my
first pass. They quickly came over and found out that that ugly old car
wasn't a spitfire after all. I asked them to go easy on my antique and really
played up the fact that I only had about $1000 invested so far. That really
got thier fires burning. One guy was particularly talking trash so I baited
him into a grudge match. Tetanus and I ran a 10.55 to his measley 11.36. He
came to my pit making excuses about how fast he used to be and talking about
future modifications. I tried to get him to come to the autocross this
Sunday. The guy wised up pretty fast and said he would be buisy that day.
It was a good evening and I learned how fast my little car really is. No more
bench racing for me. I've got time slips now.

BTW- My best time of the night was 10.356. Not too shabby for an antique.
