Greg,

Try this link to Gordon's Garage. This step-by-step procedure
to pull your engine/tranny worked great for me!

Good luck,

since I gotta get into the tranny (no 3rd 4th or R all of a sudden - after
sinking a grand into suspension & brakes - D'oh!). I'm going around spraying
penetrating oil everywhere and getting psyched up, reading my manual and all
that while waiting for new clutch and all the other junk I might as well do
while it's out..

At http://www.datsunroadster.org/roadster/info/tech_tips/rearseal.html Mark
Hatch mentions "Crawford's checklist on engine removal" - does anyone know
where this is?

Or- how the heck do I get the gearshift out? I loosened the bolt on the
bottom of the lever, but the lever stays put (does turn- just doesn't come
out). The screw on the top part of the lever bracket is, apart from being
real hard to get to, damaged, and I don't know if I could get it out even if
I get a superstubby or offset in there.
