Brake Bleeding Question

Hi!

We're trying to bleed the brakes in preparation for the AZROC event tomorrow. 
 Being new to this particular operation, we've been using our service manual 
to locate everything.  The only thing the manual doesn't say is, which 
direction do I turn the screws so I can start the bleeding process?  The 
screw we're currently working on is frozen tight and we don't want to try 
forcing it the wrong way.
