sticker removal question

Howdy,

I bought an Autopower Roll Bar this weekend.  Thanks again Andy.  It's a 
period piece that needs cleaning up.  It's still got the Autopower sticker 
that I'd like to preserve.

Any tricks for removing a sticker that's been affixed for some 20+ years - 
in tact?  The bar needs refinishing.  And, it's a Roadster Bar.
