I installed my dash cap last year and all fit fine with the exception of the
cutouts around the vents and the twisty holes they didn't match in the
slightest). The rest of it fit so snug (around the dials, gloce compartment,
clock and heat levers) that I used very little glue (actually it was more
like clear silicone sealant that came with the dash cap from Dean at
Fairlady). My advice (for the one time I did it) is to shave off/sand every
rough spot. The top of my dash was really cracked and I don't think I spent
as much time as I should have sanding it down.

p.s. I think it's "tonneau" (french for barrel - don't get what it has to do
with a convertible though).
