Hi Mike,
although that dent will not really affect sump capacity or
performance, for asthetic reasons I would be tempted to dent knock it
all back nice and flat. If the windage tray prevents you from doing
that, well, you can drill a few holes in it to get a punch down to the
dent or , give it a miss.
>From looking at my sump, I would expect that you will be able to fix
him to a reasonable appearance by dent knocking down thru the oil pick
up gap in the tray.
