Thanks to all who replied to my oil filter question; I'll check and see if I
have a tube as described. You folks are the greatest. I've also got a 1979
Corvette, and though the 'vette forum(s) I belong to are good, the Roadster
gang definitely kicks fanny.
That goes for the vendors, too. I'm indebted to them all, but especially Les
and his bunch at CDM. Dennis, we sure do miss you, partner, thanks for the e
mail.
Back on topic, I was also told by a retired-mechanic-golfer-buddy of mine
that most spin on type oil filters have an anti drain valve inside them as
part of the unit. If this is right, then I should be ok either way.
Anyone else know about this? I'm using a Napa Gold #1512, which is a Wix
filter. I called the Napa store and asked. Got a big "what was that agin?",
so I'm still searching for the answer.
