Gordon and List:

I am (again) visiting the matter of tire size
specifically as it relates to 'stock'
speedometer/odomoter indications.

More than a year ago, I received a lot of useful
information on the subject (much of it from Marc Sayer,
whom I haven't seen on the list for quite a while).

Anyhow, all of it was lost by way of a hard drive crash
which I experienced 'less than' a year ago.

I want to replace Dunlop 165 SR 14s with a size, which
closely as possible, duplicates the "revolutions per
mile" which I see, using that discontinued size. Not
satisfied with 175 70 14s, which aren't very close in
that regard.

Your 'Tire Calculator' contained in the 'Shop Area' of
Gordon's Garage is very useful, but it doesn't contain
info for the discontinued size (nor the original
equipment 5.60-14).

I would appreciate info on this subject from anyone who
knows.

Thanks!

Dave
