Are you going to brag to the list about all of the money you will lose? After
bragging about how much you spent you have to say "other than that it is
perfect"?

Hello All,

It's been a while since I was an active particpant on the list. I have had
some things change for me and I find I must sell my roadster. Believe me
when I tell you it was a very hard decision as I truly love the car.
Sometimes life gets in the way...

That being said I will let you know about the car I have for sale. It is a
1967.5 2000, SRL311-00489. Many of you who have known me over the years can
vouch for the quality of this vehicle. In 2002-2003 it was completely
frame-off restored. I have full documentation on the work in both receipts
and pictures. The only thing on the car that does not work is the radio. I
will try to list everything I can about the car, but I could write a novel.
Here are the highlights:

U20 Engine Specs:

Fully rebuilt lower end and fully rebuilt non-smog head
B-CAM
Early style Solexes (correct for 1967) with open element air cleaner
Fully electronic ignition (MSD6AL) and distribution (Gary Boone Dizzy)

Brakes:

Volvo front brakes

Upgrades:

Later style steering box and steering column
Correct Everwing Fog Lamps
Carbon Fiber Dash
Roll Bar with padding installed
Battery re-located to trunk with kill switch
EMPI Steering Wheel

What's wrong with it:

I drove over a curb and punched one the outriggers on the frame in. There
was NO body damage at all.

There is a rattle that occurs when you hit about 3K rpm. I have tightened
everything and checked conenctors and such.

Other than that the car is perfect. It is fast and because of it's
suspension (New ball joints, tie rods, comp springs, comp bump stops, etc)
the car handles like on rails.

I will keep the car off ebay for two weeks if someone wants to talk to me
about it. No offense, but unless you are willing to go well into five
figures for this car, then this is not the car for you.

I will probably buy a roadster in the future, but for now I am going to
become roadsterless. I appreciate the fact that if my car goes to a list
member it is guaranteed a good home.

Thanks,

Andrew Murphy
