 The tranny used in the Z/SX and trucks is the FS5W71, with slight 
variations
 giving a last digit of A,B, or C. and was used from '77 (?)  to '96 
(240SX).
I am told you can mix and match parts with almost all of them.
 Care to guess at a quantity made?

 Parts for these trannies will be around for a very long time. Difficulty is
 finding the right parts to fit our cars. They are out there, Just not
 decently documented.

 Anyone from Down Under have anything to add? You guys have always been way
 ahead of us in north america on the 4 cyl scene.

 I'm all for an easier/faster/better solution. If you've got some solid info
 on something that could possibly work, please share.
