You can use a 1600-2000 starter. the 1500 is + ground but the starter does
not care it will turn the same way no matter which way you hook it up . As
for the transmission The input shaft is different for the 1500. you may be
able to use a 1600/2000 clutch, the pilot bearing is the same for them.
make sure you measure the distance from the front of the transmission to the
shift lever to see if they are the same. The u -joints are a different
size so you will have the work that problem out. I don' t know if the
drive shaft is the same length or mot.
