Congratulations to all of you attending Shasta this year. Who among you are
driving there . . . driving your Roadsters, that is?
I'm riding my bicycle across Oregon that week, and won't be able to make
Shasta, but then there's always next year. I drove to Solvang from Salt Lake
City through snow and rain until I reached the Virgin River Gorge in Arizona,
then through desert heat until San Bernardino in April, 2005 -- 850 miles. I
still treasure the AAA maps and guide books the Fresno club gave me for
longest distance driven that year.
AAA tells me that Shasta is 130 miles closer, and I'll do my best to see y'all
in Shasta next year.
