I have only had my 68 SRL out a few dozen miles since spring started. However
I am unsure what is wrong with the car, between 25 to about 30 mph, the car
has a significant shimmy, both accelerating and decelerating. Also happens
when in neutral and coasting as I slow down. I had the front wheels
reballanced yesterday, its a little better, but still an issue. I was going to
just get a front end allignment, but wanted to fix the problem if I could
prior. This problem is new, did not happen in the fall when I bought the car.
I have had the wheels off several times, and did not mark the postion that it
was originally in. The front seems fairly tight, and looking at the front end,
there appears to have been a fair amount of new parts replaced in the recent
past. Any thoughts? thanks.
