Alexander - My fastest qualifying lap time was 2:024. Alen Pinel turned a
1:46.7. I felt that breaking the 2 min. barrier was readily within my grasp
until a spark plug lead came off in the first lap of the feature race.
Still, on three cylinders I could styruggle along except for the back
straight. The engine is stock except for 90 thou shaved off the head and a
set of exhaust headers. I plan to put in a moderate cam for the Daytona
race and perhaps replace the Stromburgs w/ SU's. That'll about consume my
per race racing budget nicely.
Don - The Daytona race is October 3-4-5. Come on down. I have absolutely
no idea where I will be pitted, but just look for a red TR-4 # 96. I've
been planning on driving down on Wednesday the 2nd, but a friend has just
offered me his new Ram pick up with a car trailer for the weekend. As we
get closer to the 7 hour drive my high principles appear to be waivering.
I'm curious to see what I do.
