I dunno... I'm in the middle of the same project as Richard and the quote
I got for flywheel lightening is $95 (from an experienced cam grinder,
balancer, etc). Seems like the quote I got for an aluminum flywheel was
lots higher. If that's not right, I'd like to know since I'd prefer the
aluminum
wheel, but am not willing to spend several hundred extra..

The 3 flywheel is probably lighter in stock form than the most serious
case of lightening on a TR4 flywheel. <<

How much lighter is the TR3 flywheel? Do I need to have it lightened as well
or is it significantly lighter than the TR4s in stock form?

Thanks...
