Reports from Jack and Jeff, both who now have some time on the new axles,
are very encouraging. Jack reports no spline wear after his inspection
tear-down subsequent to his Florida adventure. Both, however, report that
the nut will need to be retorqued after a session.
Please do not forget to do so! Then be extra safe and check again...
John Harkness reports a sctratch (several?) on the bearing journal portion
from when the shop pressed on the spacer. Have any of you noticed such. I
checked several pieces on delivery and did not see any.
