axle end float

Hi fellow fot,I am presently trying to set up a Salisbury limited slip 
rear in my TR-4 race car and experiencing a problem setting end float on 
the axles.I removed a Detroit locker which used a thrust button between 
the axle ends.I don't see how this will work in the new Salisbury unit 
and when I install the axles I have approximately 60 thousands end play 
on each end without any spacers.I am hoping someone has an answer to 
this problem,(which is probably very simple)and can help with my 
untrained mind.Thanks,
