I remember seeing some  round fuel cells for sale that were designed to
fit into the spare tire well. Since most TR3's have the trunk floor cut
out to get the cell mounted as low as possible, this would seem to be a
way to get the most volume. I can't find them in my current catalogs,
but I think they were of the plastic variety.
