Ain't no rumours.  It depends on if you count the 8,500 as an over rev
on a down shift blip.  Someones been looking at my TellTale.   I always
up shift between 6,000 and 6,300 otherwise under load you'll get two
three cylinder engines, one of which is not attached.  Actually 001 BF
(my last Brian Fuerstenau engine) has seen 9,500 in a moment of
excitement, but under load I've run as high as 6,500 carrying third gear
into a short straight corner.  After six hours of running, the leakdown
was less than 7% on any cylinder, but I do not recommend that kind of
treatment on a regular basis.   From now on I'll reset the TellTale
after every session to save me embarassment from prying eyes.   Bill
