The new house is well and truly done, and of course the shop is too small.
Perhaps it's the '57 Caddy tow car with the bum generator that's the
problem, but I think the true situation on shop size was summed up by a
friend last weekend--if you can afford it, it's too small.

On the positive side, both Peyote and my TR3 are ready to go. On the
negative side, there's not may races left. Only one more in Seattle--I'm
going to have to squeeze in a trip south. Tough to do with my pathetic
schedule. I'm going to have to retire just to have enough time for all my
hobbies and vices.

Speaking of which, I rode my Ducati on some wonderful roads this
weekend--the number two daughter got married at a little place on the
McKensie River about 60 miles east of Eugene Oregon. I trailered the duck
along, and spent two days ripping up the neighborhood. What bliss! No cops,
great twisty roads, no traffic, and great scenery. The last Time I had such
good roads I had to go to Italy for them.

So anyway, I need to start planning the party for Portland VTR 2000. I've
got a simple set of criteria for a successful party--someone has to pass
out, someone has to get injured (I seem to be filling in this role a lot),
someone has to cry, and at least one relationship has to break up. We'll
need volunteers.
