Hi all,

The cooling rate used after annealing copper has no effect on the properties. 
 It will be soft (assuming you heat it between 800 and 1200 degrees) no 
matter how fast its cooled.  If you slow cool it in air rather than water 
quench, you'll have to scrub more oxide off of it to get it shiny again.  It 
also may warp a little if water quenched.  But, its easy to flatten out again 
because its so soft.
