I absolutely agree 1000% with Joe. Hearing about the
past involvements of Triumphs in competition (the
wins and the losses and the stories behind the scenes)
helps make this FOT list very special. If the ONLY
discussion here was about the technical fine points of
racing then we'd be missing a lot.

Frankly, the number of posts in this email group in any
given day is NOT at all that hard to manage. For those that
might not find a story about the exploits of driving to
Sebring which included a stop at Pedro's "South of
the Border" tourist trap...or other such wonderful
anecdotal rememberances, well...you are taking life too
seriously in my not so humble opinion.

I don't wish to flame or insult anyone, but I sure have
enjoyed my participation here and the great reading that
folks like Kas, Ted S, Paul R., Mike Cook, and the
others that bring their REAL competition stories going
back to the 50s/60s t othis forum. Keep them coming
gentleman (and ladies...hey did Denise McCluggageever
race a TR?) If all we get in this FOT is the technical
details, then we will miss much. There is more than just
well prepared cars and engines involved in racing Triumphs.

One suggestion that can help those people that might
wish to eliminate reading those posts that are not technically
oriented. Perhaps we should be a bit more specific in
the wording we put in the SUBJECT of any email
post to this FOT list. We could preface the non-technical
subject email with the capitals NON-TECH in the beginning
of the subject (as I have done on the subject line of this
message). By doing that, those that wish to avoid even
opening any NON-TECH FOT email can just delete it
as soon as it is listed in their new email listing.

Cheers,
