Guys and gals,
I got the following EMAIL from a guy building a 1971 Spit for vintage
racing. The message speaks for itself. If anybody would rather not
respond directly to him (and propagate your EMAIL address), send your
reply to me and I will copy it to him without any address headers.

Thanks in advance,

Joe Curry

I am preparing a 1971 Spitfire for competition in vintage racing and
need some help with homolgation specifications. Only modifications that
were legal in the SCCA or FIA when the car was new can be used. Do you
know where I can find out what was "legal" for a Spitfire in 1971?

For example, did the factory cars that ran at Sebring use Weber or SU
carbs? I know that Mini Lite wheels were legal and I do not think that
racing slicks were allowed. I would appreciate any information on
homolgated engine and chassis modifications that were allowed.

If you have any of this information or can point me in the right
direction I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Cris Young
