The collected knowledge of this group never fails to impress. Does anyone
have any info to share regarding a GT coupe manufactured in the early 70's by
OTAS. A friend just acquired one and is about to restore and possibly race.
Here's what we know:
- Fiat-based. 817cc rear-engined, metal bodied GT produced in '71-72.
- About 300 mfr'd, many sold in the US through (Rush Motors ?) in Glendale CA.
- Some rumored Abarth connection.
- Were raced in Europe, do not know about US. SCCA? Would likely be G or H
class? Production or Sports Racer
- Any names of importers/dealers/racers/restorers/owners welcomed!
This was literally a "give me a few bucks and haul it off the driveway"
situation, so don't worry about hurting feelings in your responses.
