TR3/4 Judson Supercharger????

Amici,
 
 I just bought what looks to be a complete setup.  In a box.  (not the 
 original box).  I don't know anything about these units or  the history of 
 this particular one, but I couldn't pass it up.  Any experts out there who 
 can help me figure out:
 
 #1  whether this thing is in good working condition (or close to it) before 
I 
 install it?
 
 #2  everything else about the installation and operation?
