Back in 63 I hit the wall at Daytona in the wet at about 100 in my Daimler
SP250 in practice. The wheel hit hard enough to rip the(TR) front
suspension off but the wire wheel and hub were undamaged. We rebuilt our
own wheels since the place we originally had them repaired would not last a
race weekend without breaking spokes.
