Justin, I was considering the same thing for my TR-4 which came originally
with a wood dash. I've still got a few intact plies of the original
plywood. Then I decided that for a racing application, steel or aluminum
was preferable. Hard to catch metal on fire and it doesn't splinter. I
really like the look of the wood dash, but am concerned of its safety.
