Someone hopefully will correct me if I'm wrong, but a: it seems to me that
these are also available NEW as of the last year or so, although the new ones
might be yet more expensive; and b: wouldn't an early TR4 rack (2.5 turns
lock-to-lock) accomplish the same thing, assuming you could find a serviceable
one?
