My aplogies for not mentioning the transponder requirement earlier. I knew
about this and kept defering the message.
Irv Korey did post a SCCA deal on transponders some time back. It involves
the Chicago Region SCCA and can be ordered off of their website for under
$300. No sales tax outside of Illinois.
For a one shot deal, they can be rented from SVRA for about $40.
My son mounted ours on the RH front inner wheel well, protected by the front
valence and pointed straight down with no interference to ground.
