This is a great ideas particularly for the novices like myself. I would 
suggest that updates be noted clearly so that those attempting to meet 
"period" standards are able to sort old historic from new.

        I realize that there are certain performance secrets that everyone 
keeps to themselves. However, it is evident from the dialog that happens on 
FOT that this group has advanced the knowledge of the preparation of these 
racecars and perhaps we need to think about updating the competition manuals.

       In the process of updating these manuals, we might further consider 
referring the sources of parts from FOT and other sources. Maybe some of the 
suppliers would think about advertising support to help our retired FOTers 
prepare the manuals (and support their racing habits).
