OK, so now that the Spit is on the track I'll have to make it run. Looking for suggestions on a starting place for the carbs. HS6s running on a 1500 motor I purchased for $50 out of some guy's garage -- 7.5:1 compression (when it was new, anyway). The car will presently cough and wheeze its way around the track between 3000 and 4200 revs. Won't push beyond 4200. New points, coil, wires... Suggestions on an initial setting for the carbs? |
