I think we should demand a retraction. Here's a proposed text:

We, the members of the Friends of Triumph are concerned and disappointed
(or perhaps irritated and flustered) at being portrayed as an official
group. Throughout history, official groups have been responsible for
virtually every despicable occurrence of any size perpetrated by or upon
the human race. We want nothing to do with an appellation that can be
equally applied to the scum who inflict noise limitations on racetracks or
the miscreants of the NHTSA. We demand that you acknowledge our status as
a disorganized and confused rabble. You can contact us by sending random
email to random recipients. Thank you for your prompt attention or
complete indifference to this matter.

OFFICIAL GROUP? Oh OH, now dues, then voting, then complaining, then
disbanding the group.
