Subject: YOKO 60 Series TIRES

Dear RMVR Members:

As you probably know, there has been a concerted effort to try to get a
special run of the much-loved (but not now available) Yokohama 195 and
205 15"
tires.

You previously received an RMVR email on this subject asking that you
respond
to Richard Griffin with an "indication" of your interest in
participating in
such a special run of the tires. About 50 of you so responded. But,
that was
merely an "indication" of interest which you sent to Richard and he duly
passed the aggregate numbers along to those folks trying to gauge
potential.

As you can see from what follows, Mr. Simmons (of Trackside Performance)
is
now wanting to get more serious. A price is mentioned and they need to
now
take "orders". I say "orders" because they cannot still assure that it
will
happen, but they now need to know who was serious and who was just
blowing
smoke.

If you would be a buyer of these tires, please respond DIRECTLY to Mr.
Simmons
(not to Richard and not to me, the mailman) with how many tires of which
sizes
you would have an interest in buying. It would probably also be good to
tell
them what your re-order rate (i.e. likely future consumption) might be.
That,
I would think, would also be useful info beyond the initial special
order.

So, speak now or forever hold your peace. If for some reason you
didn't
respond to Richard originally, now's your chance to have your needs
addressed.

The following emails are provided for your background and to provide you
the
necessary email addresses and phone number.

Cheers,
RMVR Emailman

Here is our best chance for buying good, legit, Vintage Racing Tires.

Troy Simmons from Trackside Performance asked me, "ok, how many sets
will we
sell?" I suggested I have people contact him directly with how many
tires
they'd buy. The deal is the tires will be the A008 replacement in
205/60-15
and/or 195/60-15 with DOT certification. The tire price will be at or
below
$150 each FOB Trackside Performance. i.e plus freight from Southern
Cal.
Could you all get people to contact Troy directly at
tsimmons@tracksideperformance.com to tell him how many tires they are
prepared to order, if Trackside will supply them. I've attached a copy
of
exactly what Troy said.

Thanks,
johnt

Feel free to have them contact me directly. In order for me to
potentially process this request; I need a hard number of quantities.
The $150.00 a tire is easily achievable, if the quantities are there.
Please remember this is not a promise or a guarantee that this will
happen. At this point, I do request that you are careful on how you
pursue this. It is amazing how fast information can be misconstrued. The
last thing that I want is for this to turn from "we are looking in to
it" to "we are going to supply product".
Thank you.
