That corner has been aptly named for destroying cars. In '96 I was out 
on that corner dragging a high powered magnet back and forth at the edge 
of the track to find the little pieces of the motor mount bosses which 
had been knocked off the block of  Mike Higgins' GT1 Corvette when his 
driver hit the wall. We found them all and had a cast iron welding 
specialist weld them back on the block with the threads intact. The fast 
line through that corner is about 2 feet from the wall.
