My response was also tongue-in-cheek. You do get what you pay for and I'm
sure the high price unit will out last the cheapie by at least the factor of
the price difference. The cheap Oriental origin steel floor jack I bought
years ago is still functioning. The cheap Al jacks will probably do similar,
won't hurt as bad when it gets pilfered, and there's at least a set of tyres
in the difference to give you a reason to use the jack.
