Funny you should say that.  I discovered a while ago that the easiest way to
get a header to fit is to take it to a Midas shop. Cheap, good, they have
stainless pipe and the guy who did my work did a nice job of welding and
fitting (not on a Triumph). 

Your mileage may vary.

I purchased a Triumph (US) factory header directly from the Triumph Depot
for our GT6+  ,and after hours of trying to fit it with home modifications,
went to my friendly muffler shop.  

Many additional hours later, with more bending and denting of the pipes, and
frame modifications that have caused problems ever since this  mid 1970s
mod, it was worth it.

Not what I had expected from a Triumph factory (US) part, but there is only
so much space when a 4 cyl is replaced by a 6 cyl in a limited production
car.

We have 236,000 reasons (miles) to be thankful that Triumph built the car.
